Our Therapists

Charlotte Fitch, PT, GCFP is President of Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Associates and one of our Physical Therapists. Charlotte has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia and is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner, receiving her certification from the Baltimore-Washington Professional Feldenkrais Training Program. She opened a Physical Therapy private practice in 1980 with her husband, Dennis (Vice-President of BRRA). In 1983 the private practice was licensed as a Rehabilitation Agency and became Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Associates, Inc.

Charlotte works with adults and children, and her specialties include movement, pelvic and spinal mobility, neurological issues, and gait. She also specializes in the Feldenkrais Method.

Charlotte is married to Dennis Yutchishen, her business partner and Vice-President of BRRA. They live in Crozet, VA, a small town nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They have one daughter who began Law School in August 2011. Charlotte enjoys reading, running and volunteering at the Charlottesville Free clinic.

Dennis Yutchishen, P.T., is Vice-President of Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Associates and one of our Physical Therapists. Dennis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Medical School. He opened a Physical Therapy private practice in 1980 with his wife, Charlotte (President of BRRA). In 1983 the private practice was licensed as a Rehabilitation Agency and became Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Associates.

Dennis works with patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. He is a manual therapist who specializes in treatment of spinal pain and dysfunction including radicular symptoms, neurological habilitation and rehabilitation, and running injuries through promotion of the use of minimalist running shoes. Dennis works with developmentally delayed children through the local early intervention program as well as with service men and women with traumatic brain injuries with Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center of Charlotteville. 

Dennis is married to Charlotte Fitch, his business partner and President of BRRA. They live in Crozet, VA, a small town nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They have one daughter who began Law School in August 2011. Dennis enjoys hiking, canoeing, gardening, birding, and is an amateur naturalist. He also enjoys reading both fiction and non-fiction.

Janet Ngai, P.T.is one of our Physical Therapists. She has been with Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Associates since 1982. Janet has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania.Janet’s specialties are Pediatrics, Early Intervention, outpatient Orthopedia, and Strain/Counter Strain. She treats patients in Charlottesville and Nelson County.Janet lives with her husband, David, in Massie’s Mill, Virginia. They have two sons and one grandson. Janet’s hobbies include gardening, knitting and quilting.

Alison F. MacCleery, M.S., CCC-SLP is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Blue Ridge Rehabilitation Associates. Alison has a Masters Of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. As an undergrad she majored in Communication Sciences and Disorder and minored in Psychology Alison has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech - Language pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech - Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She worked in the Virginia Public Schools for 6 years and has worked for Blue Ridge Rehabilitation since 2001.

Alison works with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to: ASD, Apraxia of speech, receptive and expressive language delays, phonological and articulation disorders as well as fluency disorders. She also have experience with reading and literacy skills.

She lives lives in Western Albemarle with husband and two children. Her hobbies include running, playing with the kids, skiing/snowboarding, hiking and reading.

Asha DePolo Dicharry, SLP has been a licensed speech-language pathologist for 9 years.  She received her BA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1999.  In 2001, Asha completed her Master of Communication Disorders at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. 

She has extensive experienceworking with a wide range of populations and disorders from infant to geriatric. She has pursued additional coursework in autism, assistive technology, auditory verbal therapy, dysphagia, and dementia.  Asha is a certified member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, the Speech and Hearing Association of Virginia, and the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

In her spare time, Asha enjoys the great outdoors, cooking, reading and spending time with her husband Jay and daughter Eva.

Andi M. Yeager, M.S. CCC-SLP has been working for Blue Ridge Rehab Associates for ten years.  She received her Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University.  She specializes in articulation disorders, language disorders, and autism.  She has worked in the public schools, private practice and early intervention.  She lives in Ruckersville with her husband Matt and two young children, Lucas and Jesse.

Kathryn Many, M.Ed., CCC-SLP has a Bachelor's of Art in Psychology from the University of Vermont (1994) and a Master's of Education from the University of Virginia (1999). She specializes in Pediatric Language and Articulation Delays and Disorders as well as Autism.

Kathryn  joined Blue Ridge rehab. in July of 2011.

She lives in Palmyra, Virginia with her husband, Brian, and their two children, Rachel (11) and Tyler (8).

Kathryn has been an avid horseback rider for most of her life and now spends many weekends with her daughter riding, and at horse shows.
She loves most animals including her two dogs, a cat and a bearded dragon.

 

Our Office Staff

Patty Ventura is our office manager. She is your first contact with the office as she answers the phones.  She keeps all the therapists organized and the office running smoothly.  Patty can help you with any questions or concerns you may have. She has been working for Blue Ridge Rehab since June of 1995.  She has really enjoyed working for the company for all these years. It is a very family friendly environment. 

Patty is originally from California.  She has two children and is happily married.  She completed her college education here in Virginia at Piedmont Community College with as Associates Degree.  She spends her free time taking care of her home and family, and helps out at her husband’s part time business, a coin shop. She loves to spend time on arts and crafts and reading. 

Shawn Baran is our Accounts Coordinator. She handles all claims and patient billing except for Medicare. Shawn moved back to Charlottesville and joined Blue Ridge Rehab. in January of 2003.

Kirsten Starkweather is the Medicare Billing Specialist for Blue Ridge Rehab. She files all the Medicare claims and handles any billing issues that may arise with these claims. She also does the occasional graphic design project, as well as other projects as assigned. She has been with the company since 1997, and enjoys the work but it’s the people of Blue Ridge Rehab who make her job so special.

Kirsten is happily married and has one daughter. She enjoys movies, reading and traveling.
